Health is the general body wellness. It is the level where the body functions at its best. This means that the body is well both mentally and physically. It is when we are able to make physical,mental and spiritual decisions for our health. when we are living healthy we are able to do many things and we are happy in general. This document will give tips to a healthy lifestyle.
The food that we eat constitute majorly our healthy journey. We are told that the number one medicine is the food we eat. There is need to prepare food that is healthy for us to live healthy lives. Food that has nutrients that our bodies need for survival is healthy. Carbohydrates,proteins,vitamins and healthy fats is what constitute healthy food. We should take non processed carbohydrates and healthy proteins. Since cooked food rarely has all the nutrients the body need we should makeup by taking supplements. Vitamins, protein shakes and minerals are some of the supplements that we should take.
Another way to stay healthy is by exercising. The body must be engaged in exercise to ensure that the cells remain healthy. Joining the gym to work out and taking walks are some of the ways we can exercise. Engaging in cardio is good for the heart and maintaining a healthy weight. Lifting weights will help build muscle and replace the fat with muscle which is a good thing. We can also stay fit by jogging. We stay healthy by maintaining a healthy weight as a result of working out.
Since our body is mostly made of water we should ensure we drink a lot of it to stay healthy. Taking 8 glasses of water per day is recommended. Sweating and urinating helps remove toxins from the body which occur as a result of water intake. Water helps our digestive system and prevents constipation. In addition to taking water we should take lots of other fluids such as fresh juices, green tea etc.
We should maintain our mental health. This is done by reducing the levels of stress in ones life. Overthinking about problems will lead to stress which is a mental disease and it can be very unhealthy. It distorts your emotions and feelings which can be dangerous to your general well being. If not checked stress may lead to depression. Depression is a disease and it kills if not treated.
Our bodies need to have healthy weight. So as to maintain good health one must have healthy weight. BMI should be normal and it is calculated by considering the weight , height and age of a person. Excess weight leads to diseases such as cancer, diabetes and heart problems.
